Pheno ("we", "our", or "us") is operated by Cultivar Labs LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Pheno mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and username.

Grow data: Information you enter about your plants — strains, growth stages, log entries, pH readings, weights, and photos you upload.

Usage data: How you interact with the app (screens visited, features used, session duration). This data is anonymized and aggregated.

Device information: Device type, operating system version, and app version for troubleshooting and compatibility.

Camera and photos: Only accessed when you explicitly take or upload a photo within the app. Photos are stored securely and used solely to display in your grow journal and power AI analysis features.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the Pheno app and its features
• To power AI features (Crop Doctor, Trichome AI, Chat, Weekly Summary) — your grow data is sent to our AI processing service to generate personalized responses
• To send optional push notifications you configure (harvest reminders, watering alerts)
• To process subscription payments through our payment provider
• To respond to support requests
• To improve the app through anonymized usage analytics

3. Third-Party Services

Pheno uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Supabase — database and authentication hosting (supabase.com/privacy)
• Anthropic — AI model processing for chat and analysis features (anthropic.com/privacy)
• RevenueCat — subscription and payment management (revenuecat.com/privacy)
• Amazon Associates — affiliate links in the Pheno Shop (products open on Amazon; we earn a small commission at no cost to you)
• Apple / Google — app distribution and payment processing

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

4. AI Features & Data Processing

When you use AI features (Crop Doctor, Trichome AI, Chat, Weekly Summary), relevant grow data and photos are sent to our servers and processed by Anthropic's AI models to generate responses. This data is used only to produce your response and is not used to train AI models.

5. Data Retention

Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is permanently removed within 30 days. Grow logs and photos are deleted immediately upon account deletion.

6. Your Rights

• Access: You can view all your data within the app at any time
• Deletion: You can request account deletion by emailing support@growpheno.com
• Correction: You can update your account information within the app
• Portability: You can export your grow data as CSV from Settings

7. Children's Privacy

Pheno is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), secure storage via Supabase, and hashed authentication credentials. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of Pheno after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
